In honor of Albert Pujols becoming just the fourth member of the prestigious 700-home run club, we’re revisiting Graham’s 2019 conversation with the MLB slugger. Pujols opened up about his tough upbringing in the Dominican Republic - from tending to his father when he drank too much to his mother leaving the family when Albert was only three years old - but remains grateful for his family and the influence of his softball-playing dad and protective grandmother. He also addressed leaving the St. Louis Cardinals for the Los Angeles Angels following the 2011 World Series.
